The project included widening of the marine gate from 150m width to 240m width. The works involved dredging of the navigation channel to -16.4m depth, demolition of 90m length of existing breakwater and restore the head of breakwater, relocation of the buoys, installation of a new piled beacon light, power supply to navigational aid, installation of Current and Level meters, maintenance of landing facility and cathodic protection works.
