The project included design and construction of additional Material Offloading Facilities (MOF) in Ras Laffan Port. The major items of work included 860m long quay wall on a prepared seabed with precast reinforced concrete blocks and insitu reinforced concrete capping beams on top. Rockfill and suitable material backfill behind the quaywall and scour protection at the toe of quaywall.
The main items of work comprised:
Construction of 5,600m2 interlocking concrete block paving, 14,600m2 heavy duty concrete paving, 9,850m2 asphalt roads as well as supply and installation of quay fittings such as bollards, fenders ladders, mooring rings and navigational lights.
