The project included dredging, intake pipeline and head structure installation for the Benghazi north combined cycle power plant.

The main items of work comprised:
Dredging of pipe trench from +2.0m to -19.13m, disposal of dredged material and backfilling of pipelines.
Installation of three rows of 2800mm dia. GRP pipes in a seabed trench extended up to 1 Km from the shoreline including connection to the onshore intake basin.
Installation of three pre-cast intake structures weighing approx. 300 m.t.
Placing armour stone and rock blanket in sea trench around the intake structure.
