Oman — Salalah Port: Cargo & Liquid Terminal

The project includes the expansion of the general cargo and liquid terminal and involves building an additional 1,266m multipurpose berth, a new Northern breakwater, facilities for dry-bulk commodities and a new liquid jetty.

The main items of work comprise:
Dredging of harbour basin
Construction of 1.266m quay wall in concrete block work
Crane supporting structure supported on strip footing
Berthing, mooring aids and navigational aids
Reclamation of area between quay wall and the existing breakwater.
Protection and revetments
Roads and pavement
Buildings (substations, fire water pump house, Ablution, Prayer and
Cafeteria block)
Utility services (Potable water supply system, fire protection system, area
drainage, sewerage system)
Electrical services (electrical supply and distribution system, area
illumination, building electrical)
Appurtenances (fencing, kerb & barriers, and road markings)

Major quantities:
Concrete works: 315,000 m3
Reinforcement: 5,450 tons
